Baa Baa Brewhouse’s experimental wit is great! The flavor is delicate and subtle, light and refreshing. I like a wide range of beers, but refreshing is a big deal to me. This one hits the spot.

In addition, it’s mild and sweet at the beginning, crisp and peppery on the tongue, and then the after taste has some citrusy notes and an aromatic coriander flavor fades out in a dryness that leaves you wanting another sip. It’s all grain and spice and no hop.

It reminds me of a Shiner White Wing, but it’s got a bit more flavor, a bit more body, and a little more bubbles on the mouthfeel.

I gave it a 4 because I love it. I’d drink this all day long, whether it was summer, or summer-like weather during the fall and winter months. Houston’s hot. This beer is for Houston.

This Baa Baa experimental brew has a glowing, straw-gold color, and it has the milky cloudiness you’d expect from a wit. It has a thin, chalk-white head that dissipated quickly, and it left a lot of delicate lace on the glass.

I had no expectation because it’s an experimental beer without a name, and it’s the first I’ve officially reviewed by Baa Baa. Marcus and Kinga gave us a fill to take home after we visited them to write up a little guide for Baa Baa. I’m pretty sure I drank it and began writing the next day. However, you may have read before that we drink faster than we write, so this one has been just waiting to be posted.

This unnamed beer has no artwork to speak of, but you can find Baa Baa brews on tap at Growler USA Katy from time to time. Be on the lookout for the only tap handles made of kids toys!

I’m going to have to check back with them to see if this one made the cut to move from experimental to production! Have you ever been to Baa Baa Brewhouse? What’d you think? Give them a visit, and let us know in the comments section. They have an incredible SMaSH IPA.
