Did you know that City Acre Brewing Co. sells bombers to go? Me either. I found out on a Sunday morning while trying to find a brunch spot. Lucky me, I found City Acre offers bunch. I would be making a huge mistake if I didn’t take a second to tell you how good their food is. I had the Brewers plate – I think – a plate full of goo-ood food for around 10 bucks! They have several options for both lunch and breakfast.
Moving on, the beer is also really good! It starts off smooth and crisp and finishes with a really nice subtle and welcoming lemon taste. It’ll be a go to beer for the spring!
I’ve never tasted a beer as refreshing as Hitchcock Blonde, it seriously is THAT good.
Hitchcock Blonde is somewhere between a 3.5 and 4 star beer. Me personally, I tend to round down when I am torn between a ranking. 3.5 stars is still a really good beer!
Hitchcock Blonde has a bronze-ish color with a very clean and crisp mouth feel. Slight head that didn’t last long with no real lacing to speak of.
Hitchcock Blonde blew away my expectations! To be fair, I don’t typically like Blondes (beers) so when they only offered a few of their brews in bombers, this one kind of stuck out in my mind.
City Acre Brewing currently doesn’t offer any artwork for Hitchcock Blonde. My bomber was served in a plain brown glass and a numbered ID tag with the info listed.
Hitchcock Blonde is currently only being offered at the brewery.
Hitchcock Blonde is really good. It’s always nice to find a beer you like in a style you don’t. Have you tried Hitchcock Blonde? Are you a fan? Drop a comment and let us know! Beers to you, Houston!
