17 Mar Coronavirus (COVID-19), Where to find Beer to Go, and Helping Out However We Can
Needless to say this Coronavirus stuff is nuts. We want to help however we can, though.
When Chris and I started this website back in 2016, we had no idea it’d grow the way it has. We had no idea we’d make the friends we have, and we’re grateful for every one of y’all. You know who you are.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Harris County Judge Issued a new COVID-19 Regulation for gatherings, bars and restaurants: “Restaurants with or without drive-in or drive-through services and microbreweries, micro-distilleries, or wineries may only provide take out, delivery, or drive-through services as allowed by law. Bars, nightclubs, lounges, taverns, or arcades, and private clubs shall close.” The Texas Tribune reported on it, as well as every other media outlet on earth.
As small business owners ourselves, we’re feeling the same struggle and shock that some of you are. Some will be able to see the light on the other side, but our fear is that some won’t. Not all businesses are set up to withstand these crazy times, so here’s what we want to do to help.
If you’re a beer drinker:
Visit your favorite spot and get some Houston beer to go.
Many are offering discounts. Some are growlers, some are Crowlers, and others are straight up cans and bottles. Check ahead for hours and restrictions. Governor Greg Abbott is now allowing restaurants to deliver alcohol.
Drive safe. Stock up, but don’t hoard. Sharing is caring, remember? The breweries below have something for you:
