Woooo! *Ric Flair voice* I’m back! I was out in outer space for a while, but I missed the team here at Beer Chronicle too much. The fearless leaders also wouldn’t stop blowing up my phone, but hey, that’s neither here nor there. I’m ready to get back to sharing the love for Houston craft beer.

Thanks to the team for having me back and to Hop Drop for delivering this crowler of Great Heights Lupulin Starship right to my front door!

I couldn’t wait to crack Lupulin Starship open after the work week ended. Since I’ve been gone, I haven’t been drinking beer as often either so that sweet *pshhhhh* has become sacred. Once I hit the ignition switch, this Lupulin Starship blasted off with aromas of orange, passionfruit, and a little guava.

This dank liquid cruised into my stein (yes, I used a stein) with those cloudy, yellow suds and plenty of white head filling up the space. Lupulin Starship’s mouthfeel was medium bodied, but the flavors really coated my palate completely just from one sip. Flavors of peach and mango swirled up front and settled into orange on the back end.

Now, something I haven’t been fond of in lots of NEIPAs, is that hop burn and unfortunately, Lupulin Starship had that. On the bright side, it faded about 10 minutes after I poured it so let it sit for just a bit unless having your tongue get lashed with liquid fire is your thing.

Overall, I felt that Great Heights had accomplished their mission of making a fantastic double NEIPA with loads of tropical flavor and a perfect mouthfeel!

Lupulin Starship is a brewery only offering. If you can’t make it over to that lovely brewery to catch it on draft or grab a crowler, the homies at Hop Drop got you covered for delivery. Use code “BEERCHRONICLE” for 10% off your beer delivery.
