Houston GABF Winners 2020
Houston brought home some hardware this year. Not quite as strong as Houston GABF Winners 2019, but still impressive with both OGs and newcomers joining the ranks again. It was a weird year, and the same is true for beer.
The Great American Beer Festival, fondly known as GABF, stands as the ultimate gathering for the craft beer community. Amidst the various national and international contests, GABF holds a unique eminence and honor. It’s a yearly spectacle hosted in the heart of Denver, Colorado, drawing a multitude of enthusiasts who eagerly anticipate the outcome, both in person and virtually, as hometown champions strive for recognition.
In the realm of this esteemed event, our local brewers showcased their prowess, and the outcomes were nothing short of commendable. The roster of Houston’s GABF 2020 Champions speaks volumes, filling us with gratitude for the recognition they brought home.
Eureka Heights showed up strong with their Extra Special Bitter, Wicket Awesome taking home gold.
New Magnolia Brewing Co. got their first ever medal with a bronze for Fr. Bernard’s Grodziskie.
Vallenson’s Brewing Co. from Pearland showed up with a solid gold for their Settler’s Oatmeal Stout.
And True Anomaly Brewing Co. from EADO knocked the wood and barrel-aged sour beer outta the park thanks to their foeder phenom Freedom 7 that earned bronze
