Murry Chrimmus by Sigma Brewing Company is a sleeper in every sense of the word. As I scanned the tap list on the back wall of Hop Stop Humble, I was seconds away from making a mistake. I nearly ordered something other than Murry Chrimmus. Nothing wrong with the other choices, it’s just that damn good! It reminds me of a stronger Sailing Santa. Kind of sweet, not boozy like you might expect from a 12% beer. Very well balanced. Tastes like Christmas spirit in a bottle. Pours like syrup would onto a stack of pancakes!
Murry Chrimmus by Sigma Brewing Company is very comparable to Saint Arnold’s Sailing Santa.
I gave Murry Chrimmus a 4 star rating because it’s a great Winter Beer! It’s balanced perfectly with the malt sweetness and spices.
Murry Chrimmus sports a very dark brown/black body, little head and no lace to speak of. This beer has a really clean mouth feel.
I expected Murry Chrimmus to be a super boozy heavy porter. It was none of those. This is a high quality example of a big Christmas Ale. Wish I would have found it sooner.
I found it on draft at Hop Stop Humble and no real artwork could be found online. I know y’all enjoyed the artwork I made up for the nonexistent Driving Santa, but I’ll spare you the creativity this time.
Murry Chrimmus can be found at Hop Stop Humble and Kirby Ice House as well as at Sigma Brewery, but it’s seasonal, so don’t waste any time – go now!
Murry Chrimmus is a great beer! It’s soooo good. It’s a really big beer, but it’s a very smooth. Have you tried what the guys from Sigma Brewing are putting out? Drop a comment and let us know what you think!
Beers to you, Houston.
